The second is network segmentation. In environments where monitored systems are in isolated network segments — a production OT network, a PCI-scoped environment, a DMZ — a proxy can be placed inside the segment with access to the monitored hosts while the Zabbix server remains outside. The proxy bridges the collection boundary without requiring the server to have direct access to sensitive network zones.
La seconde est la segmentation du réseau. Dans les environnements où les systèmes surveillés se trouvent dans des segments de réseau isolés - un réseau OT de production, un environnement PCI, une DMZ - un proxy peut être placé à l'intérieur du segment avec un accès aux hôtes surveillés tandis que le serveur Zabbix reste à l'extérieur. Le proxy comble la frontière de la collecte sans que le serveur n'ait besoin d'accéder directement aux zones sensibles du réseau.

To keep the configuration straightforward, we will deploy an active Zabbix proxy. In this case, only two parameters need to be configured: the proxy's hostname (as defined in the Zabbix frontend) and the proxy’s IP address for communication with the Zabbix server.
Pour que la configuration reste simple, nous allons déployer un proxy Zabbix actif. Dans ce cas, seuls deux paramètres doivent être configurés : le nom d'hôte du proxy (tel que défini dans le frontend Zabbix) et l'adresse IP du proxy pour la communication avec le serveur Zabbix.
